3-year-old who fell from window dies

A 3-year-old boy who fell from a third-story apartment window in Seattle died of his injuries.

The King County medical examiner’s office said on Monday that Mark Han suffered skull fractures and injuries to his spleen and kidney.

According to Seattle police, the boy was playing in his bedroom about 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon when he climbed on a table, pushed out a screen and fell out a window in an apartment in the 5000 block of 30th Ave NE. The boy was taken to the hospital but died later that day, according to the medical examiner’s office.

The victim’s mother was in the kitchen cooking and his father, who works varied shift hours, was sleeping.
