Fireworks in Seattle mean I-5 lane closures
Traffic will be busy near Gas Works Park thanks to the fireworks show, but drivers also should plan for delays on Interstate 5 near downtown. The Washington Department of Transportation says that it will close several ramps on southbound I-5 between Roanoke and Mercer streets Thursday night because of the fireworks display at Gas Works.
The ramp closures will begin at 9 p.m., with the state closing the southbound I-5 off-ramp to Roanoke, the Boylston Street on-ramp to southbound I-5, plus the southbound I-5 exit-only lane and off-ramp to Mercer. The ramps and lane will reopen after the fireworks display ends.
