First-degree murder charged in Lake Stevens shooting

The Associated Press

Charges of first-degree murder and drive-by shooting were filed Thursday in Everett against a man accused of killing a 15-year-old Seattle girl as she walked along a road at Lake Stevens.

Snohomish County prosecutors say 27-year-old Erick N. Walker, of Marysville, “exhibited extreme indifference to human life” the night of June 1 when he opened fire on a group of girls, killing Molly Conley.

Walker was to be arraigned today.
