Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer told The News Tribune the 25-year-old from the Puyallup area entered the river about 6 p.m. with two friends. They got out of the water about 8 p.m. When he didn’t show up they began searching and called authorities about midnight
The missing man was not wearing a life vest.
