Man shot by police during Capitol Hill standoff identified

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office on Monday identified Joel Reuter as the 28-year-old man who was fatally shot by Seattle police inside his Capitol Hill apartment after an hours-long standoff on Friday.

Reuter died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to investigators, who ruled his death a homicide.

Reuter is believed to be the sixth person shot by police in Seattle this year.
