A man was stabbed in the neck during a fight in Belltown last night,Seattle police said.
Officers responded to reports of a fight at First Avenue and Lenora Street shortly before 7 p.m., according to the Seattle Police Department. When officers arrived, both the suspect and the victim ran south through an alley, but were stopped and detained, police said.
Officers said the victim had suffered significant injuries to the throat, but no vital areas were hit. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
During the interview, the victim said he was cut when he fell on a broken glass bottle, but his injuries were not consistent with his explanation, according to police. The suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
