Man’s car stolen at gunpoint this morning in Belltown
Four males carjacked a man’s car at gunpoint this morning in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood, police said.
The victim said he was getting into his 2008 Audi A3 at Second Avenue and Battery Street shortly after 2 a.m. when he was approached from behind by four males in their teens and early 20s, according to the Seattle Police Department. One placed a handgun to the back of the man’s head and demanded his wallet, cash and car keys.
They went through the man’s pocket, taking his keys and wallet, and when he tried to flee they grabbed him and ripped his shirt partially off.
The group fled in a silver minivan and the Audi east on Battery Street and then north on Fourth or Fifth Avenue, police said.
The victim was not injured.
