Man’s window-smashing spree in downtown Seattle captured on video
A man armed with a five-foot metal bar went on a window-smashing spree Sunday in downtown Seattle, causing more than $5,000 worth of damage, police said.
The 44-year-old man smashed windows on nine parked cars and two businesses in the Pike Pine corridor around 7:30 p.m. He then set his sights on a coffee shop sign, but West Precinct officers arrested him before he could do additional damage.
The man is currently in King County Jail awaiting the filing of felony malicious mischief charges, police said.
