Medical examiner: Mount Hood hiker died in a fall

PORTLAND — The Oregon state medical examiner’s office said Tuesday a climber who died on Mount Hood suffered multiple injuries in a fall.

The body of 59-year-old Dr. Kinley Adams, a Salem dentist, was recovered from the mountain Sunday, more than a week after he went missing.

Adams was a longtime mountaineer who was on Mount Hood in preparation for a climb in Nepal.
