Police investigating attempted molestation in Seward Park
Sexual-assault detectives are investigating a report of attempted molestation in a Seward Park bathroom Tuesday, according to the Seattle Police Department.
A group of boys between 8 and 13 years old were changing clothes in the bathroom near the Seward Park beach area when a man approached the boys and made lewd comments. He tried to take off one boy’s pants and touched another boy, police said.
The boys reported the incident to lifeguards and adults in the park, who called police. Officers went to a home in south Seattle looking for the man but learned he no longer lives at that address.
The man is described as Asian and in his late 40s, 5-feet, 11-inches tall, 200 pounds and wearing gray shorts and red sneakers. After the incident he left the bathroom and got into a green Toyota Corolla with another man, described as an Asian in his 90s, and drove away.
