Two men in car shot from another vehicle
Two men, ages 23 and 24, were shot and injured in a shooting Wednesday afternoon near the interchange of northbound Interstate 5 and Interstate 405, said Washington State Patrol Trooper Cliff Pratt.
Occupants of two vehicles going north on Highway 167 began flashing gang signs back and forth at South 180th Street. The vehicles exited to southbound I-405, and shots were fired where the interstate crosses Highway 181. The suspect, in a black Cadillac Escalade, got away while the two victims, in a white four-door sedan, went to a South Seattle residence and called 911.
The victims were transported from the 1300 block of Pearl Street to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, Seattle Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore said, and were being assessed by doctors Wednesday evening. He said vital signs of both victims were good.
Calls started coming into the State Patrol at 4:49 p.m., Pratt said.
The Renton Police Department is investigating and asking witnesses to call 425-430-7500 with relevant information.
