Woman shot inside Everett home

A 56-year-old Everett woman called 911 early Saturday to report she had been shot inside a residence in the 220 block of Fulton Avenue, police said.

The woman, who was alert and conscious when officers arrived, said she was lying on her couch when she heard what sounded like fireworks outside, Lt. Robert Goetz said in a news release Sunday. The woman got up to investigate and discovered she had been shot, he said. The woman was shot three times, but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, according to Goetz, who said the woman was being treated at a local hospital. No one else was injured.

Officers discovered bullet holes in the building but haven’t determined how many rounds were fired, Goetz said.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 911 or or the Everett Police Department tip line, (425) 257-8450.
