Hit-and-run driver sought after child is struck in Burien
UPDATE, 11:13 p.m. | The child, thought to be between 4 and 5 years old, was sent to Harborview Medical Center with head injuries, according to Detective Jason Stanley, a King County sheriff’s spokesman.
Sgt. Cheryl Macdonald says the child was exiting a family van when the car hit him — hard enough to send the child into the air.
EARLIER POST | King County deputies are looking for an older white or light-colored car involved in a hit-and-run that injured a young child at Southwest 124th Street and Fourth Avenue Southwest in Burien.
The car may be a Honda Accord or a Honda Civic, and it might have front-end damage.
The child is in serious condition, and the car was last seen driving north from the scene.
We’ll post more details as they become available.
