Lynnwood stabbing victim identified
The man fatally stabbed during a fight in Lynnwood on Thursday has been identified.
Windell Vaughn, 33, of Lynnwood, died of stab wounds to the chest, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police received a call shortly after midnight Thursday about an assault with a weapon in the 5400 block of 204th Street Southwest, according to the Lynnwood Police Department. Witnesses told police the suspect, a 35-year-old man from Snohomish County, had stabbed Vaughn, then fled on a bicycle.
Police located the suspect about 12 blocks from the murder scene and arrested him for investigation of homicide.
Vaughn and the suspect knew each other, but neither lived in the house, police said.
