Worker finds leg bone on Ballard rooftop

Seattle police are investigating the discovery of a leg bone on the roof of a Ballard building Friday afternoon.

Police were called to a warehouse in the 2600 block of Northwest Market Street shortly after noon after a worker found the leg bone on the roof. The man told police he didn’t think the bone had belonged to an animal.

The remains are to be identified by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
