Six people were injured, one critically, when a semi-truck went out of control as it entered southbound Interstate-5 from West Seattle and struck two cars and a charter bus, according to police and fire officials.
The critically injured person and two seriously injured people were on the bus, according to the Seattle Fire Department. All those injured were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Washington State Patrol spokesperson Chris Webb said the two left lanes of the freeway were shut down and were expected to remain closed through 2 p.m. There are reports that traffic in the southbound lanes of the interstate is backed up for several miles.
The collision occurred just north of the Columbian Way exit around 12:10 p.m.
