Police searching for suspect in Edmonds Key Bank robbery
Edmonds Police Detectives are searching for a man suspected of robbing a Key Bank Wednesday afternoon.
A police news release described the suspect as a white man about 60 years old, 5-foot-11, slender with grey hair, wearing a white T-shirt, navy blue shorts, white socks and tennis shoes. Police also provided the photo at right from the bank’s surveillance cameras.
The man allegedly walked into the Westgate-area bank around 4:45 p.m. and handed an employee a note that said he was armed and demanded cash, the news release said.
When the employee handed him money, he walked out, the release said. A police dog was brought to the bank to help track the man, but lost the scent, the release said, an indication he is no longer in the area.
Police are still investigating, and we’ll update this post as more details become available.
