Two Seattle City Light power outages blamed on equipment failure affected 205 customers and some traffic signals in Lake City and Shoreline Sunday.
One outage was at Lake City Way NE and NE 125th Street in Lake City, affecting 144 customers and causing traffic snarls in the area. The other was near Highway 99 and North 160th Street in Shoreline, affecting 61 customers.
Both of the outages were caused by blown fuses at terminal poles, which are where power lines go from utility poles to underground passages, said Mark Van Oss, City Light spokesman. The outages were not related, he said.
Crews were hoping to restore power to both areas by approximately 8 p.m. Sunday. For updates, see http://www.seattle.gov/light/
