S. Kitsap School District reports tentative deal with teachers union
The South Kitsap School District and the South Kitsap Education Association have come to a tentative agreement that, if ratified by both the school board and the union, will avert a teachers strike, according to a news release from the school district.
Details of the agreement were not released.
The release said the board expects Superintendent Michelle Reid to focus on “rebuilding the district’s reserves and fiscal stability” and implement recommendations from the recent independent fiscal review.
