Stabbing death in Lynnwood fight

A 33-year-old Lynnwood man was fatally stabbed in a fight at a Lynnwood house early today, police say.  A suspect, believed to have fled on a bicycle, was arrested a short time later.

Police received a call shortly after midnight about an assault with a weapon in the 5400 block of 204th Street Southwest.

Witnesses told police the suspect, a 35-year-old Snohomish County-area man, stabbed the victim in a house and fled on a bicycle. Police cordoned off the area. The suspect was found and arrested about 12 blocks away from the murder scene. He was been booked into jail for investigation of homicide.

Lynnwood police say the suspect and victim knew one another, but neither lived in the house where the fight occurred.   Detectives are interviewing witnesses about the cause of the fight.
