Young man climbing tree gets jolt from power line

A young man climbing a tree came in contact with a power line and received an electric shock, according to the Everett Fire Department.

Fire rescuers treated the young man who was then taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His condition wasn’t immediately available.

Rescue crews got a call shortly before 9 p.m. that a young man was receiving CPR after falling to the ground from about 20 feet. When rescuers go there, the victim was receiving CPR from another man. Everett police took over CPR when they arrived, according to the fire department.

Fire rescuers were able to re-establish a pulse and got the young man breathing on his own and he was taken to the hospital.
