UPDATE: SeaTac shooting suspect turns gun on self
UPDATE 5:35 P.M. | The woman found on the street with a gunshot wound to her torso was responsive before being taken to Harborview Medical Center, according to King County Sheriff’s Office spokesman B.J. Myers.
Detectives are now unsure of whether she had been shot in the rented Infiniti FX the suspect used to flee from the crime scene, as first reported, Myers said. The suspect crashed the SUV into a front yard and then fled in a second vehicle toward the area where deputies found him.
Myers said the suspect shot himself in the chest after deputies started to close in on him in a wooded area he had ran into.
UPDATE 5:08 P.M.| The sheriff’s office is now reporting the suspected gunman shot himself in the chest and is now on his way to Harborview Medical Center.
ORIGINAL POST | The King County Sheriff’s Office says deputies are looking for the gunman who shot a woman in a car in SeaTac this afternoon.
The sheriff’s office says the gunman and victim were in a car together when she was shot at South 133rd Street and 24th Avenue South. The woman’s condition was not immediately known.
The gunman then fled in the car and crashed the vehicle. At about 4:30 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office tweeted that the suspect fled into a wooded area near South 128th Street and Military Road.
