Dig it! Seattle man uses shovel to smack armed intruder
The Associated Press
Seattle police say when a South Seattle man was awakened from his nap by his brother’s news that an intoxicated man was wandering in their front yard, he stepped outside and told the man to leave.
When the intruder pulled a knife, the resident grabbed a shovel and repeated his request. Police say the intruder instead stepped forward and pointed the knife blade at the resident, who gave the man a smack with the shovel, knocking him to the ground.
At that point Sunday evening, the intruder picked himself up and walked off while the victim called police. Officers saw the man nearby, arrested him for investigation of felony harassment and recovered two knives.
They say the arrested man seemed intoxicated and requested medical attention for a possible injury to his backside.
