Man stabbed this morning outside Capitol Hill market
A man was stabbed early this morning as he was standing outside a market in the 1700 block of Bellevue Avenue, police said.
Witnesses told police the victim was standing outside of the City Market just after midnight, holding a 2-foot-long piece of two-by-four when he began arguing with another man. A short time later the victim walked into the store saying he had been stabbed.
The assailant was last seen headed eastbound on East Howell Street. Witnesses only provided a vague description .
The victim, 30, suffered a single stab wound under his right arm pit, police said. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center for a wound police said was not life-threatening.
