UPDATE 7:20 a.m.: Seattle police say the man killed on the Alaskan Way Viaduct around 9:30 p.m. last night was driving a Triumph motorcycle.
According to police, the man was driving north on the viaduct when he apparently struck the east guard rail and was thrown from his bike. He landed on Railroad Avenue, the roadway beneath the viaduct, said police spokesman Mark Jamieson.
Speed may have been a factor in the accident, Jamieson added.
