BATTLE GROUND, Clark County — Police have inspected five schools in Battle Ground that were closed Wednesday because of threats against students and staff at one of them.
Lt. Roy Butler says nothing suspicious was found. An investigation continues, and police have consulted with the FBI.
The school district says officials are deciding whether classes will resume Thursday.
The district says on its website the threats were made Tuesday against Chief Umtuch Middle School. That school is closed along with Captain Strong Primary, Summit View Middle School, CAM Academy and Battle Ground High School
Butler says the threats were determined to be credible and not a prank.
The five schools have a total of about 4,300 students.
