UPDATE: 7:15 a.m. Wednesday | Renton police have arrested the boyfriend of a 21-year-old woman who was shot in the leg Tuesday in the Renton Highlands neighborhood. The man, 18, was booked into jail for investigation of first-degree assault.
Details of the victim’s medical condition have not been released by police.
UPDATE: 6:38 p.m. | Renton police are speaking with the boyfriend of the 21-year-old woman who was shot in the 2200 block of Northeast 10th Street, calling him a “person of interest” in the case.
The 18-year-old Renton man is the main focus of the investigation, Renton police spokeswoman Terri Vickers said, since there had been a history of domestic-violence incidents at the residence where the shooting happened.
The victim remains at Harborview Medical Center, Vickers said.
UPDATE: 6 p.m. | A 21-year-old Renton woman who was shot in the leg was taken to the hospital, Renton police tweeted. Streets in the area that were closed while Renton police responded have been reopened, after a K-9 team was unable to find the suspect.

Sunset Boulevard Northeast has been closed from about the 700 block to the 900 block, while police track the suspect, the department tweeted.
