Seattle police officers confronted a man with a loaded crossbow in a disturbance at Westwood Village.
Shortly before 5 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a call and found the suspect with crossbow in hand.
Rifle officers were able to persuade him to put down the weapon and surrender. He had two arrows, one a plain metal tip and the other a razor steel hunting tip.
The 47-year-old man, who has mental-health issues, was verbally hostile and had to be placed in restraints to control him. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center for an involuntary commitment.
