Sheriff’s office releases sketch of man who tried to abduct Shoreline girl

13-211542 Sketch (3)King County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who allegedly tried to abduct a teenage girl near Shorewood High School in Shoreline  on Monday morning.

According to deputies: A 16-year-old girl was walking in the 17900 block of Linden Avenue North at 7:30 a.m. when a stranger who had been yelling at her from his car got out of the running vehicle and grabbed her. The teen managed to break free and ran toward the high school.

The suspect is described as a white male, around 60, about 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds. The man has white hair and is balding, with a mustache and several days of beard growth.

He was dressed in a blue long-sleeved dress shirt, khaki trousers and was driving an older blue four-door sedan with paint peeling. The girl told deputies that the man’s car was full of dirty clothing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 206-296-3311.
