SPD gang unit investigating Columbia City shooting

The Seattle Police Department’s gang unit is investigating a shooting this morning in Columbia City.

Officers responded to Rainier Avenue South and and South Genesee Street just after 11 a.m. after receiving numerous reports of shots fired. As officers were arriving, a security guard called from a Seattle hospital to report that a man with a gunshot wound  had just shown up there.

Police did not disclose the hospital.

Officers are still on scene attempting to determine what happened and identify those involved.
