Suspect arrested in stabbing on Beacon Hill

Seattle police have arrested a suspect in connection with a stabbing this afternoon on Beacon Hill.

Police spokesman Mark Jamieson said officers were called to the 2000 block of South Columbian Way shortly before 1 p.m. for a report of a stabbing. Soon after arriving officers found the victim walking around, he said.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition with a stab wound to his back, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

Police also recovered a foot-long kitchen knife.

Details of the stabbing and arrest have not been released by police.
