3 workers injured in downtown Seattle construction accident
The Seattle Fire Department used heavy rescue equipment to haul three workers from a construction site after an accident early Thursday afternoon, fire officials said.
Spokesman Kyle Moore said the injuries appeared tobe minor and that all three injured workers were taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Moore said the call for help came in shortly after 1 p.m. when three people who were working inside a construction site at 6th Avenue and Lenora Street in downtown Seattle were injured. It was not immediately known what caused the accident, he said.
One of the workers suffered a head injury and the other two had injured ankles, he said.
Because the workers were all inside the sub-ground level construction site, the fire department used a crane and rope to lift them from the pit.
