Amber Alert issued for missing Mill Creek newborn
An Amber Alert has been issued for a baby girl police say was born early this morning at a Mill Creek home.
The infant was suffering from life-threatening medical conditions when police believe she disappeared with her mother, Jamie Martini, 20.
The mother took off with her aunt saying she would take the newborn to the hospital, but she never arrived, according to Officer Ian Durkee of the Mill Creek Police Department. The aunt has not been cooperative with detectives, he said.
Jamie Martini is described as being Native American and having long, blonde hair and brown eyes. She is about 5-foot-3 and weighs about 135 pounds.
According to the alert, there are two vehicles to look for: a 2001 white BMW sedan with Washington license plate AJD7417 and a dark green 1993 Lexus sedan with Washington license plate 871WJF.
Anyone who spots the baby or her mother is asked to call police at 425-921-5771.
