Pedestrian hurt in Rainier Avenue hit-and-run

Seattle police are investigating a hit-and-run in the 9200 block of Rainier Avenue South that seriously injured a 40-year-old pedestrian about 10:40 p.m. Saturday.

Police report that one person said a vehicle struck the pedestrian and took off without rendering aid. Another person described the vehicle as gray, but there was no further description, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries.

Police, who arrived at the scene as the Seattle Fire Department was treating the man, say they could not find any witnesses to the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact Seattle Police.
