Pedestrian killed when hit by train in Seattle

A man was killed when he was hit by an Amtrak train near the intersection of Fourth Avenue South and South Lander Street, near the King Street station in Seattle Thursday night, according to Seattle police.

The line was shut down, and Seattle police, BNSF and Amtrak officials were investigating. The line is expected to be shut down until 9 p.m., a BNSF spokesman said.
