Seattle man killed when car hits barrier on I-5

A Seattle driver was killed after his car spun 90 degrees and hit a concrete barrier Friday night on Interstate 5, the  State Patrol said Sunday.

Mesay Asfaw, 32, was driving north on I-5 at about 7:05 p.m. when his green Toyota Corolla crashed near the Spokane Street exit.

The Patrol said he was wearing a seat belt, and drugs and alcohol were not involved.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
