WSDOT: Road washout closes White Pass overnight

YAKIMA — The Washington Transportation Department says a 45-mile stretch of U.S. Highway 12 across White Pass has been closed by a washout, and the closure will last overnight.

The closure runs from the Oak Creek feeding station near the Highway 410 junction to the Highway 123 junction west of White Pass.

Transportation officials said Tuesday the road is washed out just east of the summit.
