ORIGINAL POST | Lakewood police are investigating an apparent homicide in Lakewood, Pierce County, this morning.
Details are scarce, but authorities say they responded to a 911 call from the Pacific Walk Townhomes, in the 8300 block of 31st Avenue South, around 4 a.m. for a report of a woman who was unconscious. When police and medics arrived they found a 33-year-old woman dead. The death has been labeled a homicide as police.
Police Lt. Chris Lawler, in a news release, said that because of a “suspicious scene and circumstances” medics requested police assistance. Officers detained the slain woman’s 32-year-old boyfriend for questioning.
It’s unclear whether the man detained is the same person who was the “frantic male” police said had dialed 911 to report the unresponsive woman.
