Fatal fire in Tumwater early today

TUMWATER  (AP) — A woman has died in a house fire at Tumwater.

The fire department says a neighbor reported the fire about 2 a.m. Wednesday.

The Olympian reports firefighters found the woman who was pronounced dead in a medic unit.

The 39-year-old woman was alone in the home.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage to the home is estimated at $100,000.
