Man found slain Sunday in South Park was homeless

The man found stabbed to death Sunday morning in Seattle’s Duwamish Waterway Park has been identified as Ray M. Paul Jr., 23.

Paul’s death has been classified as a homicide by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office. He died from multiple stab wounds, according to medical examiners.

Seattle police and firefighters responded to a call at 1:23 Sunday morning and found Paul’s body in the park in Seattle’s South Park neighborhood.

Paul’s family told KIRO-TV that Paul was homeless.

Ronald Paul, the victim’s uncle, said that his nephew was at a party Saturday night before returning to his campsite at Duwamish Waterway Park.

There have been no arrests.
