Man grazed by bullet last night in Rainier Beach

A man was grazed by a bullet in Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood last night.

Seattle police gang detectives were called to the area near Rainier Avenue South and South Fisher Place around 7:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting. Police could not find a victim.

Witnesses did not provide a good description of the suspected gunman. They were “reluctant to provide officers with many details about the incident, but said they had heard a disturbance just before shots rang out and a group of teens fled from a gas station along Rainier Ave.,” according to a police news release.

While police were investigating the case a man walked into Harborview Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the back of his head. The man told officers that he had been walking down Rainier when a bullet grazed him.
