The fatally injured young man found near Interstate 5 in Everett on Monday has been identified as Zachary E. Mori, 20, of Everett.
According to MyEverettNews, state troopers were called to his aid at 3:29 a.m. He was unconscious but breathing when they arrived. He later died at a hospital.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office said Mori died of blunt-force injuries to his head and torso after he was found on the shoulder of I-5 near the 75th Street Southeast overpass.
The medical examiner and the Washington State Patrol have not determined whether foul play was involved in Mori’s death.
