The Port of Seattle bomb squad found at least one Molotov cocktail after responding to a report of suspicious items left in the apartment of an evicted tenant, a Kent fire-department official said Wednesday night.
Nearby apartments were evacuated as a precaution, said Capt. Kyle Ohashi. He also said “potentially threatening messages” were found on the apartment door.
Residents returned after the hazardous materials were removed and the apartment was turned over to the manager.
The evicted tenant is reported to be in jail on unrelated charges.
