Power outages continue in King and Snohomish counties after the Saturday wind storm downed trees and branches and doused the lights for thousands.
Some 9,500 Puget Sound Energy customers are still without power but should have it restored at least by 10 p.m. this evening, said Ray Lane, a company spokesman. The customers lost power Saturday morning. Hardest hit are the areas of Duvall, Carnation and Woodinville.
PSE is encouraging anyone without power to call 1-888-225-5773 “to make sure we’ve got them covered,” said spokesman Ray Lane.
“We believe everyone will have their lights back on by this evening,” he said. “Then we can all catch a breath.”
Seattle City Light has 1,900 customers without power throughout its service area, said Mark Van Oss, spokesman.
“There are still going to be some situations where a tree came down or a branch might still fall and cause some new outages today,’’ he said. He said the company hopes to have the power restored by this evening.
There are less than 1,000 Snohomish County PUD customers still out of power. Company spokesman Neil Neroutsos said crews will be working throughout the day to restore power.
