Naked man tells Seattle police woman ran off with his clothes

A naked man who was arrested Wednesday evening at the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks had what he thought was a perfectly plausible excuse for his lack of clothing:

A woman took them.

Police busted the man after witnesses reported seeing him running through the park in the buff. After his arrest, the man told police he had been in the park with a woman who abruptly ran off with his clothes after he undressed for some, uh, unspecified reason.

The man later changed his story and claimed his clothes were in some bushes nearby. However, police couldn’t find the clothing.

Police booked the man into the King County Jail for investigation of indecent exposure.
