MILTON-FREEWATER, Ore. (AP) — Classes have been canceled for the rest of the week at a northeastern Oregon school after a custodian found a bullet hole in the front door — and the bullet was found lodged in a rear door down the hall.
No one was hurt.
Pleasant View Alternative School Principal Suzy Mayes says the shot must have been fired overnight Tuesday. The hole and bullet were found early Wednesday morning.
The East Oregonian reports that the school is working with the Umatilla County sheriff’s office, which is reviewing security camera footage.
The school’s students don’t have school on Fridays and Monday is a holiday.
Milton-Freewater is southeast of Walla Walla.
