Two men were arrested this morning after they broke into a Broadview house and held a man at gunpoint, Seattle police said.
Police said the victim called the Police Department’s 911 center and whispered to a dispatcher that two armed men had burst into his home in the 12500 block of Seventh Avenue Northwest and held him at gunpoint. The man said he was able to escape after a friend — who was also in the home — used a Taser on one of the gunmen, according to police.
The caller made the 911 call from under the porch of a neighbor’s home, police said.
Officers responded and arrested two suspects in the yard of the victim’s home, police said. Police initially took a third man into custody, but he was released when officers determined he was not connected with the home invasion.
“The investigation remains very convoluted, and detectives are trying sort out whether this was a robbery attempt or some other type of confrontation,” police wrote in an online account of the incident.
