Renton woman arrested in fatal shooting of husband

Update at 3:05 p.m.:| Bail for the suspect was set at $1 million during a first appearance at the King County Jail courtroom.

Original post:| A 34-year-old Renton woman has been arrested for investigation of homicide-domestic violence, Renton police said this morning.

At 1:38 p.m. Sunday, a woman called 911 to report that she had shot her husband, according to police. When officers responded to the home  in the 12400 block of Southeast 184th Street they found a 31-year old man bleeding from apparent gunshot wounds.

The man later died at the scene, police said.

The suspect, the man’s wife, was arrested. Children in the home were released to a family friend, police said.

The suspect  is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon, police said.
