Police have not identified a suspect for a Friday morning armed robbery at a Montlake market, according to a blog post.
A man in his 30s or 40s reportedly entered Mont’s Market at 2350 24th Ave. E. at around 11:30 a.m. and asked for change, according to the post in the Seattle Police Department Blotter. When the 53-year-old female clerk opened the cash register, the man produced a handgun and demanded money, police said.
The clerk dropped to the ground, but the man ordered her to stand up and empty the register.
The clerk was not hurt. The man fled the scene with the money.
Police searched the area but have not found a suspect.
