Rain, clouds and a slight chill in the weather? Yes, things are returning to normal in the Seattle area.
Put on your puffy coats and mittens at least for a while because the typical December weather of gray and drizzle is returning this week.
Rain showers are expected to sweep through the Seattle area on Thursday afternoon and evening, said Johnny Burg, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
There is a chance of rain in the forecast for Friday and into the weekend. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid to upper 40s with night-time lows in the upper 30s and low 40s, Burg said.
“Things will be gradually warming up and it will be wet,” said Burg. “The temperatures will be back toward normal this time of year.”
The National Weather Service says the system will bring snow to the mountains with about 6 inches expected by Thursday night in the Cascade passes, according to the Associated Press.
